What is Earn and Learn (BVoc)?

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to a Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree with multiple exits such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma under the NSQF. The B.Voc. The program is focused on universities and colleges providing
undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles and their NOSs along with broad based general education. This would enable the graduates completing B.Voc. to make meaningful participation in accelerating India’s economy by gaining appropriate employment, becoming entrepreneurs, and creating appropriate knowledge.

यूनिवर्सिटी ग्रांट्स कमीशन (UGC) ने कॉलेज/विश्वविद्यालय शिक्षा के हिस्से के रूप में कौशल विकास पर आधारित उच्चतर शिक्षा पर एक योजना शुरू की है, जिससे बैचलर ऑफ़ वोकेशन (B.Voc.) डिग्री प्राप्त होगी और इसके तहत डिप्लोमा/एडवांस्ड डिप्लोमा जैसे एनएसक्यूएफ (NSQF) के अंतर्गत कई निकाय (exits) होंगे। बी.वोक. कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य यह है कि विश्वविद्यालय और कॉलेज अंडरग्रेजुएट अध्ययन प्रदान करेंगे, जो किसी विशेष नौकरी की भूमिका और उनके राष्ट्रीय ओपन स्कूल (NOSs) को शामिल करेगा, साथ ही साथ व्यापक जनरल शिक्षा को भी शामिल करेगा। इससे B.Voc. पूरा करने वाले ग्रेजुएट्स को उचित रोजगार प्राप्त करने, उद्यमी बनने और उचित ज्ञान का सृजन करने में सक्षम होने का मूल्यवान योगदान मिलेगा जिससे भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था को गति मिलेगी।
